We hope everyone had a chance to read our blog post this week about the progress taking place in the Lower 9^th Ward of New Orleans. Today marks the 5th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina and while great strides have been made to return residents to their homes, people continue to struggle to revitalize their communities. We ask that you take a moment to remember and honor those who were lost both during and after the storm.

Make It Right Update!

As some of you may remember in, 2008 company kd, llc sponsored a home for the Make It Right Foundation. The Make It Right Foundation, founded by Brad Pitt, set out to rebuild 150 stronger, healthier, environmentally sensitive homes in the Lower 9th Ward in New Orleans. Five years later, many houses have been built and Lower 9th Ward residents of have new place to call home. The September issue of O Magazine features a receipent of a Make It Right home and the progress of foundation. The Wait is Over…Introducting Ruby Soho Mestas!

On April 7th, the company kd family welcomed the arrival of Ruby Soho Mestas to proud parents Cheri Creech (CC) and Ronnie Mestas. She was born at 10:56 PM and weighed 6 lbs 14 ozs.
